Default Using proxy phone numbers to dial foreign countries?

Hi,

I need to call my friend in Dubai on my mobile phone. Checking out my current pay as you go Tariff it's going to kill me at £1 per minute - GULP!

Found a site called YourCallWorld.com Free International Calls that offer some for of intermediate service where you call a special mobile type number and they redirect you to the destination for a cost of 25p per minute. Only problem is this is only supported Monday-Friday and would prefer weekends.

Anyone got any ideas - don't fancy using Skype my recipient doesn't have a PC to do it.

Comments appreciated.

PhoneDirect - Discount International phone calls from the UK without subscription

Ive used this firm for several years. Ive made a lot of calls, principally to Japan, also to America and Australia, without any issues. Im used to paying 4p per minutes, but the UAE rate appears to be 20p per minute: "United Arab Emirates 20p 0911 210 0900".

i used Cheap International calls : Ratebuster to call my g/f when she lived in Miami for a year, it was an 0844 number which used to come out of my free minutes on o2, so never cost me a penny . Not sure if 0844 are still included in free minutes, but it's only a local call number.

edit - i think dubai is an 09 number at 13p from ratebuster

www.bestminutes.co.uk

10p Min Landline to UAE

15p Min Mobile to UAE

Use it at 1ppm to my Mum in Ireland every week which saved around £30 a month over BT! We also recently had New Zealand at 1ppm which is awesome & US the same.
