Question JapanParts.com

Anybody used them to order stuff?

The prices are listed in both Yen & Pounds Sterling so i take it they ship them in from Japan? Does that mean your liable to VAT & import duty when they arrive in the UK??

Yes, Ive used them in the past. No worries, excellent service. You will be liable for import duty etc etc.

Take a look at www.rhdjapan.com also as may be able to get what your looking for from them and they offer a 'gift wrapping' service that can help to lower/avoid import duty.

I ordered a set of Sard injectors from them recently, selected the gift wrap service and paid no duty whatsoever.

i got a sti boot tank from them and the service was brilliant, hd to pay a bit of duty on it but having it gift wrpped lowered the cost as mentioned above.
I'LL be using them again soon as i need few bits.
defo be worth using them even the duty and vat added makes it cheaper than most prices from the uk.

I've used them and found them very good. You can track your parcel all the way from Japan.

Don't know if it always happens but mine was opened by customs at the local Parcelforce depot and had a £13 parcelforce "handling" charge added + VAT charged.

Could try asking them to put "gift" or "samples" on the customs declaration

Your better off just paying the customs if your hit with it - asking them to put a false declaration on the package could result in you losing the lot.

Sometimes you'll get hit with it.. other times you won't. Just depends if your lucky. I've used Japanparts.com before and, as said before, they're very good.
