I couldn't see the hype over the Defi's, but they did lOOk smart.

Took the plunge and now have 4 in amber. It's the only bit of "bling" i have bought for the car, but they are not over the top.

Nice sweeping startup and individual light shut down.

The oil temp guage is priceless. It shows you how long you really have to drive before the oil is upto temp. It's longer than most think. 10-12 miles ish.

1 Vote for Defi's.

(Will try and get some pics up tonight in VMS)

STI Genome gauges are made by DEFI.

£600 for 2 gauges and a controller is expensive. Best to buy them from Japan or the US. Should be roughly £100 per gauge (inc senders) and about £65 for the controller.

try these Apexi, Blitz, HKS, Nismo, Greddy and other JDM Parts direct from Japan - Nengun Performance worked out about £285 for 3 guages (oil pressure, oil temp, water temp) and the controller inc shipping, only thing is u may end up paying VAT and duty when u recieve them.

Nice one, sounds good. What did you have to tap into to get them working ?

I got mine from a group buy in the U.S, worked out about £450.

They sent me a fuel pressure guage instead of oil pressure, then never replied to any emails. Don't buy from EDO!!!

So i just ended up getting an oil pressure from RCMS & fitting all 4 gauges.

Don't forget import duty if buying overseas. About 20%.

Was charged about £200-250 for fitting, which included a custom install & control unit.

I recently bought two 52mm defi's (oil temp & boost) with control unit and two mounting kit's all in for £280 (60mm are same price BTW). £7 for an LMA main oil gallery adaptor and about 2 hrs to easy DIY fit.

So they need not be too expensive and match dash very well, green in my case.

Look back through GB section for 'Defi Madness' offer from Scoobyclinic, closed ~6 weeks ago.
