Woohoo got my scooby!!
What have i been missing this car is great fun, wish i'd changed from supra's earlier.
got a standard looking import 96 WRX and not a mark on it, Printout shows 262BHP at the wheels
put it on the ramp today to find its got a whole new propshaft and complete new bottom end nice and shiny.
just love this car

How can you be so excited about an 11 year old car that some importer has saved from some perfectly good Japanese scrapyard?,sorry but I just don't get the deal at all with these ageing heaps

I agree with scoby0809, just cos it ain't new don't mean it ain't any good.
I was just as excited with my 1st Scoob, in fact I still am!!
Now don't prove us wrong. Keep it (fairly) standard and don't thrash it up and down the local high street. Go find a nice empty country road and enjoy!

Elmer Fudgepacker that is very negative of you, classic scoob is by far the best lookin scoob ever made, and there are some examples out there that are cleaner than a brand new production car.

nice clean example fella. good on you. nice looking "heap"
elmer, your post imho just shows you as the car snob you seem to portray yourself on here.
unless its absolutley within what you deem acceptable, its either a chavved up heap, or cheap and nasty. sorry, but i dont agree with what you have said.
anywho back on topic.... what plans have you got for her???

Well just wanna enjoy the ride at the moment, but later on i may change the grill and lights on the front to the crystal ones as they look a lot nicer, just gotta read up more and workout if i'd need to change the bonnet to do this.
plus attend some meets to gather some good advice about these cars from members who have had em for a while.

Nice car m8! Its a long slippery slope Subaru ownership.. Prepare for wallet to be opened
...don't listen to white hawkeye owners, they all seem to be disappearing up their own asses!!
They feel the need to slag classics for some reason....maybe due to having spent £23k+ trying to be a little different (odd?)

Not in my book. I'll never buy a Subaru that isn't a classic. I've had 5 classics and can afford the newer shapes but decide not to.
That's a nice standard car you've got there mate, and with shiney new mechanics, well done.
