That engine is defiantly not a STI.

 

That's a Legacy turbo engine

 

engine looks like its from 93-96 car most likely a uk car. The intercooler will not be good enough to support the the claimed 300bhp. the intercooler looks like its from a legacy. then again i may be corrected by someone who knows more. personally i would stay away from that car.

Should ask him why he has a turbo when he can't afford to insure one and what he'll do if he hits someone?

 

yip old kind of leggy engine with charge cooler...circa 200-220bhp

 

It seats 6 people as well; must have been the limited edition special then!

 

Annoys me when you see these sort of ads when someone says 'still on the logbook as a GL etc...' - so in fact, you've been driving it with invalid insurance ? so if you crash into my car, then your insurance wont pay up, will it ?

Does make you suspicious about someone who has had this conversion done, but doesnt realise that the engine is from a different model...

And - how come EVERY Impreza for sale on Ebay is 'running 300bhp' - even if its a knackered old high mileage car with the only mod being a big stereo.
