they are for lining up the holes on the boot
you should have got instructions with the spoiler on how to do it?

push the stickie upie thingie on the strip in the bolt hole in the spoiler base and position the spoiler on the boot lid.
The strip ends will stick out under the spoiler, tape both ends to the boot lid and when you lift the spoiler up you then drill through the hole on the stickie up part as this is where you want the hole as it aligns with the bolt hole on the spoiler

I did mine last week - very nervous about drilling 4 holes but it worked

dont forget to use a touch up on the drilled holes or they'll rust (oh and use a sealand to stop water getting in.

there should be extra holes in the base for extra security, the strips will be in case you want to use more bolts

Im sure the Orignal four Studs should be loads, might bond it with Stikaflex as well.

This may sound daft, but don't stick it on too well, when i tried to remove mine, i ended up denting the boot lid all the way over from forcing the spoiler off!!

i used the origional 4 bolts, 4 extra in the middle and some sealant (sti8 spoiler but same idea) - should keep it in place
