Default JDM WRX Bugeye Bhp figure, 2001.

Currently looking at viewing the titled model, anyone know the standard BHP?

I know the JDM classics are larger BHP than the UK models.

Rob.

i have a triptronic one of these and when i bought it was told it was 250bhp,but have been modding it and have fitted a full decat and a green panel filter,by doing these mods should have been pushing out around 280bhp but drove my mates standard bugeye sti (280 bhp) and it was a lump faster than mine so i would say a standard wrx jdm will be the same bhp as a standard wrx uk,and think the difference in bhp is down to the jap petrol (103-105 ron) compared to uk (98 ron) i may be wrong if anyone more clued up than i am please reply

I am sure the JDM WRX bug has 260-265 bhp (STI 300) but I am not positive.

Pretty sure you get variable valve timing on the Jap wrx's too.

My MY01 wagon is tiptronic too. Did some reading round when I got it,and I'm fairly sure that it was rated at 250 PS (245 BHP). Mine also has a couple of basic mods, but will usually lose out to manual version equivalents due to the differences in gear ratios.
