Default Full tank, fuel light comes on @ 215 miles...

And I'm not driving perticularly hard (but it's not m/way either)... DO I have a problem do you think? My brakes seem to squeek too, even after I've released the pedal - could this be contributing?

Thanks in advance...

I get 270 miles to a tank ish, thats on completely standard car, if yours is mod'd then i would expect it come on at 215 miles really, but if it isn't mod'd then i would get it checked out, may have loose fuel line and a very slow leak.

Normal driving (slow to work, slightly quicker back) see me getting anywhere between 190 & 230 miles before it's virtually empty.

Lambda sensor getting old?

It's something that's not changed usually and has an effect on cruise fuelling. Most of the fuel economy threads on here report back somewhere in the region of 250-300miles per tank when driving sensibly as I recall.

215 miles ona tank? sorry but your not driving it correctly, press the right hand pedal harder

joking aside, stay off boost and you'll get pretty good mpg, playing mine does roughly 12mpg, on a long run not using boost i can get from notts to bristol on 20 litres

so many folk get different results it aint even worth asking that question, mine did 180 to a tank roughly but i never did any long journeys, with the "noise" i was getting 135 to a tank, the noise was a blown engine

i get all sorts of mpg's readings, sometimes i dont even see 150 from a full take. last week i got over 240, and that included the 2007 tunnel run where at time's i was at full boost!!

You should fill up with 99ron fuel or v power, then reset your ecu, you will notice a difference then, especially if you have used different fuel companies in the past. When you do a ecu reset you should stick to one particular company ie tesco or shell afterwards.

I fill mine up for £55 and get anywhere between 210-230 miles to a tank, so that sounds about right.

I once got 140 miles from a tank but had a lot of fun. I'm sure some lads on here will have had under 100 miles from a tank...

I've got a '98 WRX with approx. 300 BHP and it does 220-250 miles on average (but that's cos I have to boot it a few times a week on the way into work (4 people going half the speed limit when I've got to get to work = higher fuel consumption for me!)), 300-400 miles if it's purely motorway. Tank costs around £55 for V-Power.

I was actually fairly pleased when I bought it as I was expecting less.

How the hell do you manage 50?!?! Do you drive around in second gear?

Fair play for that.

Never actually bothered working it out - when the petrol gauge gets near the empty line, I fill it up, and repeat this process regularly.

Funnily enough, when deciding to buy an Impreza ( as opposed to a diesel Mondeo or 1.0 Corsa etc.... ) fuel efficiency wasnt top of my reasons

I filled mine up yesterday and I had 300 miles on the trip from my previous full tank. No light on and not being careful with the fuel either. A fairly high modded Impreza. Reckon I could easily match the 370 I got from a P1 once

I get 210 on a motorway run, Standard WRX.

When it runs out I use the company provided fuel card to fill it up
