clutch pedal adjustment

Default clutch pedal adjustment

does anyone know on here if the clutch pedal on my 52 plate sti bug can be adjusted???

clutch is starting to bite pretty high and wondered if i could lower it a little
as getting lack of feel
not slipping or juddering just biting a tad high....

of course they can be adjusted go to subaru and they will show u how 2 adjust it

whata stupid answer. everything can be adjusted, but the chappie was asking for a little more detail, ie experiences, than waht you dribbled out.

And i doubt subaru would show you anyways as with all the latest health and safety gumph you wont be allowed any where near the workshop while they do it...... just open wallet thank you sir....

From the manual.

F: ADJUSTMENT
1. CLUTCH PEDAL
• 2.0L model
1) Turn lock nuts until clutch pedal full stroke length
is within specifications.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to turn clutch switch to adjust
clutch pedal full stroke length.
If lock nuts cannot adjust clutch pedal full stroke
length to specifications, turn master cylinder push
rod to adjust it.
Specified clutch pedal full stroke: A
130 — 135 mm (5.12 — 5.31 in)
Tightening torque (Clutch switch lock nut):
T: 8 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.8 ft-lb)
Lock nuts at the top of the clutch pedal by the clutch switch.

and yes mate i was looking for someone who knows or has done it
or has any details like you said

and not dribble..oh and if i took it to subaru they will say the price will be 500 pounds plus the vat..lol

It's under the transmission section, then Clutch System CL.

bearing in mind that it's hydraulic any wear on the clutch will be taken up by the fluid there should be no need to adjust the length of the pedal travel. you will not gain anything you could make it worse if you don't really know what you are doing. on cable set ups you could gain a bit of life if the cable was to tight but not really on hydraulic set ups as they are self adjusting, if the bite is high then the clutch is worn so start saving

I think he's saying that it would be more comfortable to have the travel slightly reduced.

thats all i was saying will...

clutch not slipping nor is it juddering just pedal a tad high thats all
