Default p reg in a t reg?????

hello peeps newbie here...bought a t reg scooby wagon with a red top engine from a p reg car seems to be all working apart from the fact its boiling over and waters shooting out the plastic filler bottle by the battery....Know im guessing this is head gasket or could it be something to do with different wiring looms etc etc???cheers

Have you bled the system ?

It could be a few things like a blocked radiator or a blocked pipe but most probably the head gasket has gone, is their any water in your oil or froth under the cap ?

the early model blocks didnt match up with the later model heads as comp ratios would be screwed up but if you used a whole engine should be ok,possibly an airlock in the water somewhere

was just that the two plugs dont match in colour and the leads that go to the top of the engine are stretched a bit ??(the thing that the wires go into has had a plate made up to move it from its original place on the right to the centre on top the engine..)if that makes sense/
