Default Air leak, possibly....

Right i think i have an air leak, i hit full boost, thn it starts to drop, full boost 1.1 bar (some times it over boosts, but then drops back down to 1.1) thn down to 0.9-1 bar

WRX STI Type-R MY99 Standard engine and turbo, not remaped.

Any ideas? i wanna run it at the Pod this wknd.

if it is standard turbo, i shouldnt think it will hold full boost up to the red line, you will find it peeks then starts to drop. think most turbo cars do this when standard

Boost should peak and then drop off.

Yea, it peaks, thn as i go round the rev range, it slowly drops off, which is usually around 6k rpm

I have never really payed that much attention to it, and when i started comparing it to the boost gauge in the turbo timer, i thought it was weird to drop boost.
Sounds like im being the usual paranoid Impreza owner thinking 'catch the problem before it causes another problem'
