Default Surpirise Call from Eca Insurance

i had eCar Insurance - Get a low cost car insurance quote from eCar Insurance ring me up last ngiht asking to give me a insurance quote as i have had a few quoted froim the site they reckoned that one of there partners could give me a better quote. bear in mind im 21 with 3year NCB and i drive a impreza turbo 2000

on the site they quoted me £1400 which i thought was excellant and would be the quote i would get when i get it back on the road

on the phone last night the guy reckoned he could get me a quote in a 3 figure sum but i had to go out to a meal and was running late so they are goin to call me back.

im quite intrigued to what they will come back with fingers crsossed it will be under a grand if it is i will snap there hand off lol and take it

Yep, ask them what the excess is. My bet is that it's HUGE!

Could be worth it though. Just depends on where he lives (safe area) and what type of driver he thinks he is (does he expect to crash).

If I was 21 years old I'd happily take a large excess if it meant paying a cheaper premium. Small dents etc, you don't claim anyway.

The only thing to have (at all costs) is to get your no claim protected.

im suprised they called you to be honest. ecar are usually so cheap as theyre internet only. i had a high excess on my current policy £900 altogether) and luckily havent had to fork out. just a shame i have had two claims (one non fault and one i paid the insurers back for losses), otherwise i would have had a cheaper quote than last year. looking at about £2k at least this year with 1 y ncb unless ecar call me too with a decent renewal quote in the coming weeks.
