Dream Weaver's Deleted Thread

Hi DW
I've deleted your thread complaining about service. You've been around here long enough to know why, but it was due to the potentially libellous / defamatory comments.
Sorry but that kind of thing cannot legally be kept on scoobynet.
Best regards

Doh!!! Sorry Si, forgot about that with all the red mist in front of my eyes - which could also be due to not having a TV for about 5 days.
PS Check your mail in about 30 minutes (nothing to do with this - banner ad change)

Simon,
i managed to read your thread before it was deleted, and without being libellous can i quote something from this month's Which? magazine which may help you...
Thus you have a reasonable case against your credit card company who are jointly liable (good worth over GBP100). Check first that <the TV company> has indeed debited your account (and when) and if appropriate dispute it. Normally credit card companies are very helpful with things like this, as <the TV company> are upsetting their own customers.
Good luck!!

p.s. Oh, and in one of the later paragraphs in your letter, you give the date of "2nd Jan" when i believe that it should have been the "2nd Dec"!

The Sale of Goods Act says a seller must deliver within a 'reasonable time" - but that's not defined. If you've ordered goods over the phone or internet, distance selling rules set a 30-day limit for their delivery, unless you've agreed otherwise.
Good luck!!
