Midnight Purple Impreza
Was just browsing ebay for what if I had the money to own...anyways I stumbled on this lovely looking Impreza:
1998 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version 5 Type R / P1 coupe - eBay Subaru, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 10-Oct-07 18:15:29 BST)
Did subaru ever issued an Impreza in this color? If so this must be really rare!

Looking at the poor listing I wouldn't touch the car with a barge pole. Lovely looking Impreza? hmmmmm.

the ad isnt a con
the guy selling it is perhaps not the most literate, he should have said "the engine is totally standard" because if you look at the list of mods, they're all cosmetic (im including exhaust as cosmetic)
so hes trying to say the engine is standard, but ends up contradicting himself
and the calling it a P1 and type R is probably a trick to get it listed under both on e-bay.
But theres no way thats a standard colour, but then again, it looks to be being sold by a garage, offering different warranties etc.. and would you buy from a garage that was incapable of putting an advert together ?

If someone lists an item like this full of inaccuracies then I'd question everything about the car. More importantly, I'd assume the engine rebuild was a cowboy job unless proven otherwise. Sadly, the colour is not something I'd like on my Impreza.

its been on ebay before,a couple of times iirc and garages do make mistakes with their ads if they dont know much about performance cars, which would make me wary in case they have serviced it with crap oil or been running it on normal unleaded
