It got me thinking. Does anyone know of any other companies having their ads featured on the tv inadvertently?

That was 2 grand a week and Ex & M rationed advertisers to no more than 10 per year. The problem was that we got more calls from D*ckheads wanting to sell budgies and houses and so-on 'cos they thought the number on the cover was for the magazine not an advertiser.

It does get you a high profile and did contribute to sales of over 1000 engines per month in those days. Including a best ever of 165 Nissan Micra engines in one month. We kept over 400 of those in stock at any one time from a total stockholding of 5000 engines

Those were the days.

PS we were on Neighbours too as the Australian side of APi paid to put a fridge magnet on a fridge in a kitchen scene that was in camera for a whole minute. That lit the phones up. Sadly, at 10.00 oclock at night. It must have featured over here but I never saw it.
