Default Quick Question?

Evening all just a quick question or maybe not so quick.I have a UK Turbo 2000 and
want to go over 350bhp I Have got the chance to buy a gearbox from a breakers 2nd hand and was just wondering if I buy a Gearbox from a STI 5 or 6 type r or ra v limited will it fit straight in and will it support the power (if so how much will it support) or do I wait and buy a six speed box from a newer Scooby if so will that bolt straight on and what power will that support. As you can see I need help.

i'm sure someone who know more than me will put you right.but i think if you wont to fit a sti gearbox you will need the rear diff as well

whatever box you buy you will need the matching rear diff, standard typer box will take 350 bhp but its torque that kills gearboxes, depends how much you got to spend and what your wanting to do with the car,drag/track/road etc but what about a ppg 1-4 kit in your standard uk box and keep your 5th gear thats what i'd do rather than go to the expense of fitting an sti box that will break a lot quicker and need rebuilt.
