Afternoon all just wondering can I fit a External wastegate to my car and if so do they increase power or do you just get the cool (Flutter) Noise. car is running a VF34 Turbo amongest other mods.

Not too sure what you mean by external? I'm guessing you mean a vent to atomsphere valve - they won't do anything for performance other than the sound which you either love or hate.

It isn't impossible, but its not worth it. you're better off blanking the D/V off to get the noise, although this highly not recomended on a VF series turbo as it tends to shatter the blades. add a TD05 and it shouldn't be so much of a problem with moderate boost levels

You'd have to fit a different Turbo if you want an external wastegate as the VF Turbo's have internal ones. Ask in Technical for a suitable turbo for the job
