Okay ,
Just for a laugh.
What are your thoughts on just swapping out the drivers only seat for a fixed back carbon bucket and leaving the passenger one stock?
Personally i think it looks cool as i dont care for passengers that much but what do you lot think?
Cheers

well its not an all out track car but mainly used on track. I still have passengers from time to time.
Passengers of all different sizes so seems nuts to spend a load of $$$ on a flash seat just so it matches mine

I picked up 2x ex Prodrive s-light Carbon seats for mine, the most comfortable bucket seat I have sat in. not sure on your frame, but they suit mine down to the ground. cost 220 + 230 from ebay. ok the dates are out if you want to compete, but at a 1k saving per seat, I dont care
A pic of a non carbon one

iirc are there not safety implications of fitting a fixed back seat into a non-caged car?

you could get a full on racing one for yourself and a bucket styled/car seat like the classic sti 5/6 seats for the passenger.

The best part of £2,000 seems excessive, especially when you consider that this is a road car...

I think that Id have gone for a pair of black with blue leather Pole Positions for less than half the price. Safer too.
