Thumbs down

After sending my proof of no claims and certificate of installation for the alarm and immobiliser (recorded delivery!) On the 4 of Dec they have received them but can't find them! these are obviously the originals and now they can't find them. After many phonecalls and arguements all they can do is send me to a clifford alarm dealer to get new certificates wasting more of my time and costing money! They have said they will reimburse me with the money but what else do I do? I am now selling the car and need these back for the new owner does anyone have any advice or does it look like Im stuck with it?

Hate to say it m8, but i always send photo copies, and i`ve never had an insurance company complain about it once .

Hope you get it sorted, but if they`ve lost them, theyre lost, although your original installer should have a record of the work done, go see him

I Too Have Recently Taken Out Insurance With Privilege and one month later they sent me a letter to say they had not received anything from me. I had sent all the information they required together and luckily for me I had only sent copies of the certificate of installation. I have now sent them second copies of everything. I was tempted to send them a letter of complaint as they mention that only originals are acceptable, but the girl I spoke to on the phone when finalising the quote said a copy would be fine.

Having read your post I am not confident they will get my second copy.

It's a bit poor this service when Impreza's are charged such premiums (mines £700).

I'm too with them and sent original docs... and got them back.

they then forgot they'd had them and asked for them again.

I told them about all the prodrive mods and they were fine about it all.

My excess was a thrilling £250 Then I thought I'd phone to check everything and just happened to mention, again, the Prodrive spoiler and, might I say, stunning gold wheels and all of a sudden my excess is now £450-

That was a bit of a digression, eh?

bottom line, you need to be proactive with privilige, tell them what they need to do, etc.

Privilege accepted my faxed copies of proof of security system etc.

Might speed things up when you get the new docs.

Rich.
