EARLY-V1 STI
What year did subaru start painting the inlet manifolds red? I know that on the early V1 STI's that the manifold was unpainted (or is that a myth). What tell tale signs would you spot to identify an STI on a V1, especially a Wagon.

Yeh my first thought, it's black like a WRX, but has the alloy bonnet,STI pink adjustable tie bars and ARB's, Red STI struts and springs, STI sump protector and lip protector and goes really well. Seems to have had a few STI bits along the way, even got the Jap subaru dealers key ring lol.

The original 1994 cars have a build plate on the NS inner wing, with an of 100 or an of 200 number on. The applied model number is the same as that of a standard WRX for the 1994 cars and the MY96 Version 2 STIs. Unique applied model numbers were introduced with the MY96 V2 Saloon and the 1997 V3 'Wagon.
