Default what oil

just checked the oil on my 04 sti and its on low.
what oil is it so i can gat some in the morn .

As you don't know what's in it at the moment, you have a choice between a semi-synthetic 10w/40 eg Castrol Magnatec, shell Helix etc. and a full-synthetic 5w/40 If you have an oil change coming up fairly soon, top it up with the semi. When you have it serviced make sure you know what is put in it and maybe ask for a litre for subsequent topping-up if needed.

its got whatever the subaru garage put in on its service5000 mile ago

Most likely Shell Helix, call your Garage in the morning and see what they recommend. I tend to use Castrol 5/30 Magnatec Fully Synth but then its preference. Ive had not problem with the above on a 01 WRX
