Hi

a mate of mine has seen an X reg P1 for sale at a garage in Mirfield & is quite interested in it. Apparently it's only had 1 owner & has a touch over 40k on the clock

Just wondering if anybody on here used to own it or knows previous owner so we can get some extra info dealer prob can't give,

Does the P1 have the Alcon brakes? I think this car has been for sale by Richard Skiba for a while. It was very poorly when I last saw it, major engine issues. It may not be the same car but if it is I would suggest going through it with a comb. Incidentally I saw it when Skiba was based in Batley.

according to the autotrader ad it just says uprated brakes. My mate hasn't phoned them yet but i'll tell him to make sure he asks about any past/present engine problems

of the 1000 P1's made how many you reckon are still on their origional bottom ends

I have found the ad and it is that car but it does not metion any engine work or issues in ad, just helping a fellow scoobynetter.
I know the majority of P1's let go between 40k-60k due to the ecu map being too advanced for the fuel available but this does not excuse the dealer not mentioning the engine work.
