Offered a 96 WRX V4
Hi everyone,
i'm new to the site and have some if little knowledge on Subarus.
I have a friend who has a V4 WRX that has had some front end damage from a small accident. That has been put down to a bent front cross member that can be easily replaced.
The mileage is currently in excess of 100k miles. I've also been offered this car at what looks like a reasonable price. (£2.5k as is). AFAIK the maintenance has been kept on top of since it was imported.
What kind of life can I expect out of the car, but most importantly the engine and drivetrain?
What are the common problems with this version?
Thanks in advanced

it must be the V3.
im lookin at spending upto £3500 maybe £4000 but that includes buying the car.
Ill see if i can get some pics of the damage but not %100 if he`d be ok with it.
Cheers Guys

For about 4k you could get a lowish milage wrx import or depending on your needs a mint condition wagon with tidy milage seen them around for about 3k with low miles.

yer you make a good point, i live in the isle of man and alot of the ones ive seen that are good value are mostly uk based.
Also i wouldnt mind throwing abit of money into after market parts so the less i spend on buying the car the more fun i can have afterwards.
Cheers for the advice tho, keep it coming
