Hi all,

Does anybody know anythin about possible faults of the intercool spray on a Classic type R?

My Auto function doesnt appear to work but manual does!

Anybody have this problem before?

Thanks in advance

Does the switch light up?
Could be the connector came off the back of the switch...

It should come on when you are on boost, so shouldnt really need to give it to much stick

Hey, im pretty sure its not working - people say on here that with a good a/b road blast their bottle gets empty ive been driving on boost and none has been consumed unless im not driving hard enough maybe? I did notice after a hard drive that the intercooler was baking and no water in sight....

I am confused as to why it works on manual and dont appear to on auto mode?

What does the water empty light look like anyway?

Hey what part for hertfordshire you from?

It wont work if you have an apexi, as it's the ECU that triggers the auto mode.

The manual mode is just a switch to trigger the 5 second spray relay, so doesnt use the ECU.

When i first bought my STi5 RA, the auto mode didnt work. Some numptie had plugged the switches in incorectly and used the wrong (spare) plug. The light still came on but it was switching something that didnt exist. Have a look and see if there is a "spare" connector behind the switch panel as you may have the same issue.

If its the same as the My99 setup, you can drop the whole kick panel the switches are mounted in by removing a few plastic clips, screws.
