Couple of weeks ago came up to the lights and there was a cr@ppy looking J plate Honda CRX.

Just got the car back with a few more ponies under the bonnet and decided to take off from the lights.

Honda went as well and soundly beat me could not match it at all.

I know scoobs are not invincible but this was bordering on embarrasing.

Caught up with guy (eventually ) asked what was in it.

1.8 turbo was his reply followed by the words sleeper.

I had a similar expirience a few years ago on the way to usc at santa pod in a 400bhp sierra cossie, on the way down the M1 about 6 in the morning doing about 80mph a rather tatty looking fiesta RS Turbo came along side and started to egg us on speeding up slowing down etc, we floored it, he floored it and i didnt see him again, if youve ever been in a genuine pro built 400bhp cossie you will know that in a straight line not much would catch it.
Found this guy at the pod and under the bonnet was a cossie engine and a higher spec than ours, it was 4wd aswell, caged, big brakes etc. B@st@rd

I was pottering down to my mates on tuesday night doing the normal 65mph (speedo indication) i could see this little red car (1000cc pug 106) screaming towards my back end.
Must have been doing oh about 66mph, he pulled out and overtook me .
thing was we were rapidly approaching a roundabout! he nearly went OVER it and i laughedalot . (little chavs)

i've got a s1 106 rallye for work.i.the roads out my way a ruff as ****(i'm in the fens) and it modded a bit as well.i get loads of people try to have a go. shock a few as well.the chavs in saxos dont like me going by them very much

I had an interesting challenger. The most inappropriately named Suzuki (sp? Can't be bothered to look it up ) 'Swift' ;D Hard to tell what colour it was for the rust and the fact that it was shrouded in blue smoke! Pulled up next to me in the turn right only lane and one of the two becapped chavs inside shouted, "I'll have you in your ****ty Subaru- got a proper filter and Zorst on this"

"Might I suggest you get the later checked for emissions" I replied.

I didn't hang around for the rest - I'd forgotten my chavtionary!

Down a duel carrageway,there was and old Ford Popular,folowed by a hilman imp.

I should have known better,looking at his tyres,tried to get past them both,and they just left me.

If duel carrageway, never ended i would of had them both at top end,got a freindly......Thick ****,u know whats under my bonnet,at the roundabout as he turned right.

What made it worse the guys Kid was in the passenger seat laughing,but he did look a bit pale.Not as Red as my face.

a sleeper beemer a couple weeks ago.

looks inocuous enough. red, black rims, around n-plate. was proper up my **** going up-hill, so i pull over after overtaking another car, and he boots it. i drop it to forth and try it, but he absolutley leaves me, and im gobsmacked.

never in a million years was that a standard 316/318 3 door etc. must have something ridiculous under the bennet, sounded awesome

Volvo 740 stripped with bucket seats and a pillar dials.

Was spitting flames so thought i'd give him a little chase. Followed him up to 140 (kph obviously ) but he had to turn off.

Made me wonder what engine he was running and how quick it is.

I don't respond to challenges on the road because:

a) I always feel unutterably embarrassed straight after, whatever the outcome.

b) The last time I did so was when a young lad was the contender. He took exception to being beaten and subsequently passed me through a small roundabout on the inside line with no room to do so, and nearly took out me and my passengers.

My son has a S1 106 rallye with a 1.6 16V , Its about 170hp , and weighs about the same as a *** packet , is goes like stink and embarasses many an expensive ' fast ' car , young hooligan , dont know where he got it from

i had some nova up my *** last weekend, i just thought it was some **** thinkin he was in a F1 car and just let him sit behind me. About 20mins later he bet 2 cossies and a supra , Sooo glad i was saving fuel that night!!
