Default My new Hawkeye is here!! Pics inside!!

Well around two weeks ago my beloved CTR went bye bye to some bloke in Harrogate, it was by far the best car I have had the pleasure of owning, it did everything and did it to a reasonably good standard. Watching the bloke drive it off my drive and away was really weird, the next few days after it went were upsetting, especially considering that I had not got a car and was borrowing my dad's run around - a Mazda 6 TD, which was actually not too bad.

So after considering a few cars including a Monaro VXR, a Nissan 350Z GT, a Mazda RX-8 PZ and one or two others, I had finally come to my final decision and it was none of the above

Once I drove my new motor 'properly' I knew the above cars weren't for me and this new beast was

So my new car is an 07 plate Subaru Impreza STi Type UK

I have already got it booked in to have a Revolution front splitter installed and I am putting a Blitz Nur Spec R catback on it, I will also change the wheels at some point although the bling bling gold alloys are growing on me, slightly

I installed my Kenwood DDX-7029 and Bluetooth adaptor this morning as well.

Here are some pics for you all:

hmm the back of the 07 type UKs are quite a bit different to the 06's...

they now have 'SUBARU' on the back and the rear clusters backing are now silver instead grey..

if u want a comparrison view my scooby.

prefer the 06 to be honest.. not that im biast

also noticed that the front head lights also have silver instead of a grey backing

I'm booked in at Revolution in a week or so to get their front splitter fitted, booked that in before I picked my motor up

I'm going to be putting a catback exhaust on in the form of a Blitz Nur Spec R, I know its a loud exhaust I just hope its not mentally loud

I am still contemplating getting some new wheels on but the gold wheels are starting to grow on me, think they go quite well with the WR Blue.

Still undecided whether to fit an HKS SSQV, will see about that one.

Thats it so far.

CTR...........whats one of those????

I loved my CTR, it did everything really well but this blows it away in a big way, you can't really even compare the two cars.

CTR was a good car but this is a great one.

Cheers

bushiwarrior - looking very nice there mate. How have you found your catback system for quality of noise and loudness?

a2jcy - good spot, will have to clean that up asap.

Thanks for all comments lads!

bushiwarrior - just had a look on scoobyworld, found the Afterburner Vortex backbox but no sign of the ninja resonated centre, the only midpipe they do is an Afterburner...

I've heard some good things about Ninja BBs, what are their overall sound and loudness like? Also whats the quality like?

Finally whats the difference between the Ninja BB and the Ninja 2 BB?

Its looking like its either going to be an Afterburner Vortex BB and Afterburner midpipe, a Ninja BB and Afterburner midpipe or a full Blitz Nur Spec R system.

Just need to get as much info as possible before buying as getting to any meets to listen to exhausts is pretty tricky for me.

I've also heard about a TSL Firestorm system....

Other than Scoobyworld where else is a decent place to buy exhausts for a hawkeye from?

I just want to know what exactly is available exhaust wise for my Impreza before I take the plunge....

Any advice or info is appreciated as always!

Cheers
