Default Anyone Help Getting My Flies Out??

Just giving the engine bay it's weekly check, oil, water, etc.

The Intercooler is bunged up with flies!!

Tried getting them out with a very thin knife, bent a couple of the honeycomb bits.

Would a Dyson get them out?

Any other ideas, as some of the fly bits have dropped right into the centre?

Many thanks.

Kind regards

If they're anything like they were in mine, then they're like crisps

I just blew them out with an airline, go easy on the pressure though

Thanks for that, I've got a small compressor.

Does it blow it straight through the bottom, or do you loosen it with the air line & get them out?

Thanks.

KInd regards

They should fall out - if they don't you could try using a water hose (assuming you have taken it off the car) but other than that be careful as you will do more damage than good.

Thanks Pippyrips, tried a Dyson with the busy brush attachment.

It got tons of fles out and lots of grit.

Amazing how much "Donkey Dirt" gets sucked into the Intercooler in the Summer.

I also got a brush & got even more "Donkey Dirt" out of the Sports Panel Filter.

JUst come back after a little drive, it seems more responsive, or maybe just my imagination.

Regards.
