WRX v STI chassis
Sorry another newbie question from me!
What are the differences in chassis between the WRX and STI? And how does this translate on the road. Cheers.

Would probably be better looking thru somewhere like Wikipedia or something for all the info.
Not aware of chassis differences, just the ones listed on the other thread you have started.
Very different cars built up from the same platform with different components.
Suspension, brakes, turbo, intercooler, gearbox, diffs, wheels, body cosmetics.
But shell and chassis, same afaik
Set up of an STi is much stiffer, giving better over all control to an experienced driver thru the twisties, off road etc.
If you track or rally STi is definatly the one.
If you commute and sunday drive, maybe a WRX with PPP or similar.

Hi and welcome
basically as snazzy said
also depends on if you meant Classic or Newage, wagon or saloon, Uk or JDM , Which model (eg Type RA or Spec C) and what model year, not year of registration (eg MY00 or MY05)
Sorry but there are so many variant's that the answer can only be VERY generalised
IIRC

New Evo mag has a write up of the GB270 WRX they reckon the WRX is just as good as the STI and even easier to drive through the twisties as it is less hard work due to the gearing and gear box.

The STi also has a weight penatly over WRX with the 6sp Box and DCCD . but it's also it's what made it better than the WRX the Brembo brakes, the seats and interior are also better on the STi.
The STi engine is more tunable than the WRX engine and the STi gearbox is stonger
Down side of the earlier Newage WRX's against the STi, was in the wet, the WRX pull out of the corner was Dire the STi was far superior IMHO (WRX didn't have a front limited slip diff IIRC) not certain on the 06/07 models!!
