For those who have owned various Scooby's what was your favourite, this is mainly aimed at the classic shape i.e upto approx 2000? What version and engine?
The reason i ask is i'm looking at a STI but the only real differance seems the looks, over to you guys.

as far as i can comment having more than 6 cars ranging from 2x uk wagons, wrx sti ver 1, ver 2 555, wrx type ra, ver 3 sti, ...i would say the ver 3 97/98 wrx sti was outstanding...

i`ve had a u.k 99 turbo2000
a 95 wrx
1999 evo 6
lastly 98 type r with full decat,, had to get rid of for personal reasons, but soon hope to be back to the fold and type r is was i`m gona get,, by far the best!!

Have had two UK MY98s and a JDM STi 6 MY00. Basically, the STi wins my vote.

The UK car is good, but the STi is good x 2.

had 96wrx good car but little under powered
followed by p1 very good car well suited to uk roads and with decat alround good car
now have 22b better car in places than the p1 just not as easy to drive day to day as the p1

Good question.

Since 1999 I have owned/crashed/modified/wasted loads of money on:
1994 WRX, 1997 UK Turbo, 1996 STi RA, 1995 WRX and finally *1995 STi RA.

RA is - *plan to keep this one

All great cars, but the RA is that bit more..................special.

I owned two. A 99UK Turbo discreetly modified and an 02WRX almost standard. The difference between the 99 and the 02 was (obviously I guess) staggering. I regreted selling my 99 from the day I traded it in.
