Cheap, High Mileage Forester.
Saw one recently on ebay that sold for around £2800, didn't have the guts to buy it but am now semi-regretting it.
It was a Y reg, 2000, Turbo. Looked reasonable clean and supposedly had a service history but had done 120,000 miles.
Was this a good price or was it fair given the mileage? Does much go wrong them with so many miles on the clock?
Is is a big risk to buy them "unseen" on ebay?

Its a fair auction price for a UK S-turbo, as a private sale it would go for about 3-3.5K depending on history, visible condition etc, its not unusual to see good ones with 170K on the clock.
Was it a UK S-turbo or a JDM S/TB or T/TB model? JDM cars tend to go for less even though they have more features (and power).

About right at that price, I would never by sight unseen, I would at least visit and prod unless there was sufficiently detailed a description that you could reject on the basis of not as described with no argument.
