Talking Litchfield Type 25 A-line - Best ever

Hi all ,

Back in April 07 I took the plunge and ordered a Type 25 A-line. This is my third impreza , starting with a bug eye WRX and then a 2003 STI with PPP. At first I didnt like the UK hawkeye , however , the JDM seems to be a bit more refined and slighty better looking ( many due to front lip spolier and lower spoiler on the boot ). After a long wait I now have the type 25 A-line and the only thing I have to say is "brilliant". I was unsure whether to spend so much money on an impreza, but its worth every penny. The car corners and handles like no other car I have driven. I test drove an Evo Fq360 before ordering the type 25 and there is no comparision. Both are very quick cars , however, the type 25 a-line can be driven around with a great deal of ease. It is so simple to drive at normal speeds , and then when you want to overtake the power is there instantly. I now have my ultimate car which goes as fast as you'd ever want to. The A-line body is great for me because no one knows its as fast as a super car. It doesnt give that boy racer image of my previous STI with huge spolier. The Type 25 a-line does the same MPG as my 2003 STI ppp which is a bonus and the insurance costs the same also.

There is only one thing more to say, and thats a big thanks to Iain Litchfield and PowerStation for Building and supplying the Type 25 A-line.

Nice write up on a great car, but you surely dpn't think the Type 25 is better than a bug WRX ??

Have to agree, if I was to buy a new car it would be the T25 in A-Line guise.

Need to see some pics!

How long did it take from order to delivery?

What build No. is yours?

Did you go for the 35BHP upgrade?

People that haven't driven a T25 (either generation), just will not understand how responsive these cars are, any gear and revs and they're off!

Cheers for the write up

Martin

Always liked the Litchfield Type 25, just a little out of my price range. It was on Fifth Gear no so long back and if I ever win the lottery one will be on order

Quality car.

I have had a passenger ride in a Type-25 and I certainly second all your comments. Its a superb car and if I am being honest just simply blows my old UK 22B away. I have always liked the flat 4 burble of Subaru's, and when the new 2.5 was launched the sound disappointed me to say the least. This car doesnt sound like any other Subaru I have been in but could get addicted to its unique sound very quickly indeed.

Although out of my reach at the moment if it were possible to get a wide arch version in Type-25 disguise, that for me would be the ultimate and I would make it happen one way or the other. Ha !

I wonder how long it will be before the next generation Type-25 surfaces after the lauch of the new shape Subaru Sti ? Get cracking on it Ian / Powerstation !!!!! Oh and if anyone from Powerstation would like to comment on the above it would be appreciated !!!

Does anyone even know when the Sti is being released, or indeed what show it will make its debut ?

Cheers !

Ricky !

I thought the Gen 1 T25 was quick but the 2nd gen T25 is awesome

When I was last up at Litcho's he told me 'with a bit of pipe work' 450BHP was on offer (I think he was talking FMIC).

He said he was planning to make this an 'official' upgrade offer
