Default Modded sti v's spec c

How would a 03 sti with an 20g turbo and supporting mods running around 390bhp compare to an 03 spec c with exhaust and remap?

I know the spec c would be the better car, just looking at what the difference in performance would be?

I did point out in another threead that you would need a good 50 BHP advantage to keep up with a spec c, so if the spec c was running 360bhp it would be better in town as it would pull better lower down the rev range, ie 1300rpm and go all the way to the red line with literally just a remap and exhaust, less lag, more torque and better drivability, that would be the biggest difference for the Spec C that is

Thanks for that
Same mods as what I've planned. Do you know what power / torque it is pulling now?

My '05 JDM STi (not a Spec C, but engine-wise the same) produces 1 bar at 2900 rpm after its decat and remap at PowerStation.

"View my Scooby" for the graph.

If you're not there's something wrong. Should be full boost by then.

To the OP: I would've thought the Spec C would pull away with the early spooling compared to a 20G (1 bar 3100-3200, full 3500-3600) and the 20g would haul it in further up the range.

I'd put my money on the 20g though.

Surely once both turbos are on song the 20g would have it as it will have more power?

^^^^^

Running two cars together is the only way to find out, there are too many variables to make peak/paper figures worth anything..!

You can have two identical cars (MY and mods, even BHP) and one may well be quicker. Just the way they come out of the factory, some good, some bad some average, very few the same..
