Aren't you supposed to use petrol to clean filters so there is no chance of you sucking in any water?

Just buy a new one every year or so... only £30-£40

I think one of the main points in people buying them is that you can clean them every 6 months or so, saving a few quid each time. Otherwise for the performance gain involved you might as well get the OE filter.

there is a green filter cleaner kit available-i clean filter every 6 months

what i do with my K&N pannel filter
spray with TFR
jetwash clean, leave out to dry
