Performance Friction V AP 6 pot 330
Having been on a few track days I really have given up all hope on the Blobeye STI brake set up. I called Alyn @ ASP with full intention of ordering a set of APs. He asked me the question why do I think I need APs. I explained that my current set up was basically crap and I had been thru various types of pads and no really much better. He then offered the alternative of the Performance Friction pads and discs as an alternative to APs.
I know a few guys on here are using the PF disc pad combo and I was wondering how they are working for them and more importantly any comparisons with APs.

I was going to go down the same route go for ap 6 pots for my spec-c but after reading Duncans(dynamix)write up on the PF disks and pads and seeing that there was a groupbuy from Zen I decided to go for them tbh they do what they say on the tin if your looking for the ultimate go for ap's but honestly I think its overkill if your only doing a few trackdays a year I have had no problems with the pf disks and carbon pads on track or on the road and would recommend them to anybody.

Cant comment on the 01-z pad Mikey but Paul at zen might be able to confirm or Alyn. The part number I have for the front carbon metallic pads is 1001.11.

Mikey,
upto now I have found them to be brilliant from cold you have to be a bit aggressive to get some heat into them not much tho once warm they do their job not a great deal off dust either, done about 2000 miles on them and there doesn't seem to be any noticable wear to the disks either also no brake noise I have used padgids before and I found them (even tho they are a good pad) to be dusty and noisey.I have found that the pads and disk combo from PF to work well.Just to add I fitted rear carbon pads to complement the front which were part no 0109.10/109z

i joined the dynamix group buy and have no complaints. Used them on my annual le mans trip, no fade with some enthusiastic driving. I would recommend them.
They do respond better with a bit of heat, but i use my car first thing every day and never had an issue first off.
