Default MPG from STi PPP

Went over to Aviemore last weekend, pretty chilled drive with very occasional overtaking, cruising at 60 - 65mph and returned 22.8mpg versus a usual 18 - 20mpg
I'm pretty impressed with this, what have others achieved from the car? I have heard say that it should be capable of 25mpg but can't see how you manage this, perhaps by free wheeling down every hill you come to

Now back to 20mpg as usual, wonder why

PS - using BP Ultimate and it's a 2005 car.

I worked out my last tank in the Spec C, mixed driving. 23MPG. Not bad for a 350bhp car.

Managed 24.3mpg last weekend on the way to Alford. Only got 22 on the way back but then I had a few blasts round the track so probalby had something to do with it.

Question

Without trying to sound too stupid, how do you work out your mpg?

I usually get around 250 miles from £45 V-Power in my WRX PPP.

Thanks

Gee whizz dude, you must be driving flat stick everywhere , that must be around 15 - 17mpg.

On calculating your mpg just zero the odometer when you fill up and when you go back to fill up again (the next day ) take note of the miles covered, say 240. Fill up and note the litres used, say 52lts.

Then do this: 52 / 4.54(lts per gal) = 11.45 gallons used.
240 / 11.45 = 20.96mpg
Simple

Bluenose I need to get a remap...23mpg from 350bhp, that's excellent

Come on then.... what's the lowest mpg you have achieved? Mine was a rather poor effort of about 17 mpg must be a few who have approached single figures

My Evo IX gets 22-23mpg during mixed daily driving. I thought a new STI might be better than that.

Get a shade over 29mpg in my classic on SUL, 80 miles a day on the M5 at a steady 70-80 mph. Mods are de-cat and panel filter.

AIm for something below 20mpg when not commuting though

According to that link, I am getting between 15-16mpg in my car... and I honestly dont drive it in anger much at all. Hmmm, hope that a re-map will improve things for me!!

Car is a Hawkeye STi Spec-D with minimal mods listed in View My Scooby.

Cheers,
Grant

Just done a run to Heathrow and back in my MY04 WRX PPP Wagon and averaged 33.5! Usually does about 29.5 to 30 on a motorway run. This didn't alter after the PPP was fitted. Not bad for 261bhp!

MY 05 STi (PPP)

Got 32.6mpg out of mine on a run down to Dover in May. Follwing mates with a trailer with 2 bikes on going the Ring, 60 mph all the way. Jesus! It was depressing.

Was getting about 4mpg whilst on track at the Ring. 3 laps for 3/4's of a tank.

Manage about 16mpg on normal town driving, 180-200 per tank.

I usually get 24mpg, I have managed 28mpg on a long run (MY05 T25 350bhp)

Can't understand why some of you guys are getting such low returns

I average around 275 miles per 50l.

Haven't calculated the MPG, but it's much better than standard.

Not bad for just shy of 400bhp

17-18mpg out of my 53 STI PPP was usual. Apparently a remap can get u up to 28-30 mpg according to my very learned friend Martin at TTS!
