Which boost controller. Cheap or expensive?
Andy F has advised me to buy and fit a boost controller before I see him in september to make the most of the apexi fc when he fits it.
Im not sure which to go for. Looking on ebay the choices seem to be:
Greedy profec B spec 2 for around 180 quid.
Greedy profec E-01 for around 250 quid
Then its the apexi acvr and the HKS EVC for around 300 quid
Theres even a one going for 140 quid which seems to be 'unbranded' so to speak.
So my question is, will one of the cheaper options be fine, or does it really pay to buy the best? I can buy the best if need be......but I would rather not if the cheaper one are fine?
Im totally new to these so any help will be great

got a apexi avcr my self, very good bit of kit, you can pick them up for around £250-£275 new
you can set them up to run different boost in each gear (i think) and different boost at different revs, so you can run more boost mid range and tail it off at the top end

Got a Blitz spec R in mine, also a very good piece of kit. Personally I wouldnt touch and unbranded item that is doing such a major job that a boost controller does.
An advantage with the Blitz systems is that if you also get I think its the R-Vit data monitor and place them side by side, then the boost controller and the R-Vit "talk" to each other via an infra red port.

Had both the Blitz Spec R and Apexi AVCR, Apexi is by far the best boost controller out there at the minute, giving, boost control, start duty, rpm specific boost, gear judge, learn gear, up to 4 channels of monitoring etc.....
