Tracker and HPI?
#1
Just a quick question. If a car fitted with a tracker is stolen then traced by the Police and retreived, is it listed on HPI as stolen recovered?
Or does this only happen if the car is not immediately retreived? i.e. found later with bits removed, missing ID etc.
Am I correct in assuming that when the Police are notified the car has gone walkabout they turn their Tracker on and only if it is then not traceable it gets listed on the PNC?
Ade.

Ade,
I am not 100% sure, but I beleive that a car registered as 'Stolen Recovered' is one that had been stolen, replaced by the insurance company, recovered by the police, and then sold on again by the insurance company.
Hope this helps
