Default Dents !!

Some w***** has opened there landrover door on my scooby today, they have put a dent the size of a fifty pence piece on my door just above the crease line. I am so angery could have thrown up when I saw it. Does anybody know if paintless dent removal will work as I have a feeling there is a strenghtener on the inside of the door, so it can't be accessed??

Any info greatly appreciated.

It makes me so angery that most people seem to have no respect at all for other peoples property.

Dents, a very unfortunate part of being a Scooby owner.

Would have thought that is a nice and easy place for a dent removal. You are bound to accumulate more dents though!

I went to a coachworks place a few weeks ago and the guy told me they have these glue pellets that they bond onto the panel, they then use a tool to drag the dent out flush, then polish the marks out. Will depend on the dent obviously but there is achance at least for an 'easy' fix.

I take it from your name you have a mica blue classic?

Ive had a few scoobs and nothing attracted dents more than my mica blue classic, I think the door panels were made of bacofoil

I quickly learnt to strategically park the car,

park well away from anyone
park in end spaces so only one car can park next to you
take up two spaces (yes I know selfish!)
park in mother&baby (I never park in disabled, M&B spaces are just marketing)

I got a loverly dent in my n/s passenger on the curve bit of the door at the top that some bloody taxi through up a nasty rock. I have had a dentmaster man out and he could not get it out because of the section inside the door. So its a fill and paint job.

I am still trying find somewhere that will do a good job.

Apart from this the car is pretty much mint thanks to scoobyclinic

I was quoted by a coatchwork company that when I went for a quote there was a man rubbing down an e-type door, and there where several other british classics in there as well haveing work done on them...£260 + vat This probably would of been a proper coatchwork repair.

If it's a golf ball size or smaller dent then any DECENT dent guy will get this out, even the long thin bumper scrape type dents can be easily removed.
I sell Imprezas, Evos, GT-Rs etc and i use a dent guy who is pretty effing good......although i don't tell him how good just in case his bills rise
I have used several different companies, some good some bad, but this guy is damn good! He operates mainly the Cardiff and surrounding areas and if anyone wants his number please PM me....there's nothing worse than having to paint your car for a dent caused by someone else
Dave.

I've got lots of small dints from hale stone damage, mainly on bonnet and roof. The hale stones were the size of large marbles!! Do you reckon these can be dealt with?
