Post MY07 Japanese Legacy Turbo B4/GT (Litchfield) might buy one: Any user reviews ?

Hi there,
Not posted on Scoobynet for a while so, hello everyone

Presently, to justify my trackday antics, I'm saddled with driving the family "bus". It's a MY06 Skoda Octavia vRS. I'm very pleased with it (I hasten to add) and have posted a review on my blog here: Long term review - Skoda Octavia vRS Estate » thinkCAR

Anyway, a Skoda review is not the point of this thread. I like the car but, I want something else out of my daily driver and have been investigating the MY07 Legacy GT and B4 Turbo range, currently on sale at Litchfield. I'm attracted by:
a) Price (27-29k OTR)
b) Value - the options and std eqt are excellent eg: leather, sat nav, si-drive
c) Performance: 290 bhp 6,000rpm / 290lbft 2,300rpm
d) Stealth (I'm not sure that many others aside from those "in the know" actually know what it is)

To find out more about it, click here:
Litchfield Imports
Legacy B4 Spec B Automatic - £27,495
Legacy GT Estate 5-Speed manual - £26,995
Legacy GT Estate Automatic - £26,995
Legacy GT Estate Spec B 6-Speed manual - £28,995
Legacy GT Estate Automatic Spec B - £28,995

Questions:
1) Has anyone on Scoobynet owned one recently / can advise on options / other potential cars / running costs, etc...?
2) Can't seem to see much difference between the GT and B4 spec - can someone explain please?
3) I see Litchfield are offering some STi parts for the car eg: front splitters etc see here: http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/i...e/legacy_5.jpg
Any thoughts on these?
4) And finally, as I spend a LOT of time in traffic, I'm attracted by the "Sport Shift" Auto option - has anyone tried this? How much transmission loss is there? Is it as good as VW's DSG? Same as Beemer's SMG? Any info greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance, Stu

The built in sat nav on a JDM will be redundant, so if it is important a Euro import may be better.
