p1 or sti
p1 or sti i had both had p1 for 3 years from new then moved too wr1 few years later personaly p1 was quick car id say quicker off line as it lighter but wr1 was more refined and comfortable also id definetly get a nice p1 and spend some money on it brakes remap exhaust suspension mods would be nice running costs much same id say although p1 engine is more prone too bottom end failure i think just have too get a nice one low mileage .

p1 or 03sti
Three months ago i was in a similar position and after owning a classic was very tempted by the p1. in the end i went for an 03sti ppp mostly down to value for money/reliability/and personaly they look more up to date.
Havent looked back since. Running costs i dont think there would be much in it, the same with the performance also. Good luck with what ever you buy, think u will enjoy either.
Regards Dan

Personally i would definately go for the P1...a lot more driver involvement and quicker off the mark
Im not sure why P1's are more prone to bottom end failure tho?

p1 then in a few years go to an 05 sti, i went from a my00 to an 05 sti ppp, as i didn like the 01-04 stis handling, and while i love it i do regret not having had a p1, definitely one of the best cars ive ever driven
