What Sat Nav for under £200?
After one, budget upto £200. Was thinking either Tom Tom1 or Nuvi 300.
If anyone has any comments/experience of these or recommend others, that will be great.
It'll save me resorting to calling the wifey for directions online, or just using the force.

I'd recommend TomTom for ease of use, frequent maps (at a cost) and software updates and an excellent selection of POI to download.

When i'm able to read what one does better over the other or a function is missing, i'll know which one to buy.

GPS Price Comparison
Cant fault the Tomtom and ive done plenty of miles in the last few years without them getting me lost or making u-turns galore.
Cheers

Im still using my Garmin i3. Its tiny, but big enough and loud enough to get me anywhere. The New garmin is just better version with a bigger touch screen and more options.
Like most other satnavs, the POI's and uptodate camera's are easy to obtain and update.
I know people rave about TomTom, but they have never tried the garmins, and vice-versa (I assume).
But im very happy with Garmin products and it gets me to Silverstone through the back way with no problems and I only paid £15 for a card on fleabay that gave me Spanish maps that I used when I visited the in-laws this year.

I'm looking at getting this at the moment as it also doubles as speed camera detection Small too so doesn't take up much room on the dash.

When i got the Nuvi, i did a search on some online forums and the TT's seemed to be universely cussed for being unrelaible at the time. Whether this was a faulty batch or not i'm not sure.
The Nuvi is incerdibly quck hooking up to satellites and has never let me down. The place i got it from even sorted out a free 12 months subscription to the Speed camera database

The TT700 etc are all too big.
My old man has the TT1 and it looked nice and compact, but i've also heard horror stories about them. Whether that was, like you say, a bad batch.
Got any links for those forums or seller?
Has any used both the Nuvi and Tom Tom, so could compare?
(a price comparison site for the both would be nice too. )

Got TT910 and hate it. 4 months old and maps are so bad. For example tried to go to Slaley Hall Hotel today and ended up in a farmyard 2 miles away. And if u ask it to take u to nearest petrol station make sure you have got a couple of gallon left as most on its database seem to be in someones back garden a mile or so away from where they really are. Its rubbish and as a Taxi driver I have to resort to my trusty A-Z too often!
