Default Are replacement panels worth it?

You see all the major tuning packages include one but are they majorly different to the STI filter? At £30ish they seem a bit of a bargain not to have one.

yes they are assuming your are comparing against a stock as opposed to uprated STI filter.

Funnly enough i have an old uprated panel filter if you wanted it for £15 delivered

If you believe the 'scientific evidence' that sites such as K&N state (which I do) then you would see the advantage to the engine of using something other than a paper filter. I doubt you will notice any performance increase (whatever they claim) but I definately noticed the increased induction noise - which is worth the money alone

For £30 you can't go wrong as it will outlast the car saving you money come service time, and hopefully it is doing something good for the engine over the paper ones.
