Default Is there enough of a Market for another Subaru specialist?

About 2 years ago I almost setup an company dealing in performance Impreza parts, but for personal reasons didnt actually push it all through. Although I did enough research and initial trading through third parties to know there is a market in it.

I know there are a fair few companies out there like scoobyworld etc....but can you ever have too many Subaru specialists? I've been in contact with all my suppliers and all trade accounts are reinstated. Just wanted some feedback from you guys whether you thinks its worth the time and effort....???

Not even sure if I'm allowed to post this? apologies in advance....

Suppose it depends where you're based. If there isn't another one within an hour or so's driving from where you are, then it could be worth it. Setting up 2 minutes from Scoobyworld etc probably wouldn't be.

TBH though, don't most of us order there parts via websites? Location doesn't really matter then. Price does.

It would be internet based, primarily. The niche market I would be looking for would be supplying things that aren't necessarily readily available from other sites, such as a larger range of carbon fibre products.

Although the scope is endless, where do you stop with product range???!!!

Japanparts.com have most things "Not normal".

The thing to remember is how quick can you get the parts to the buyer. I have bought parts from dealers on here and waited days. Then again I have recieved parts the next day, less than 24hrs.

Quality of item is also very important and as already been said "where are you based". If I have a parts issue the internet is sometimes the wrong medium to get it sorted " face to face or phone" can be the best way sometimes.

think one of the most important issues to address, whether selling in a shop, or via a website, is after sales service. plenty of places can offer great prices, excellent delivery times etc, but if something arises, or something isnt how its supposed to be via genuine mistake, fault etc; then after sales come in.

this from someone, who was very unimpressed with the snotty email after sales service i recieved after a recent problem. not naming names, but they know who they are

if you even need to ask this question, i would say its not for you

time and effort is relitive to what you want out of it.
you say you have done enough research?? does that not answer your question? and if it was a long time ago, then do it again, and people on a related forum are not the people to be asking?
sorry to sound negitive, but to me, if you need to ask questions like...should i..and is there?, then business is not for you.
do your research/business plans, and deceide for yourself.
how could we possibily know how your funded / long term plans / or if your business accumin is stable?

ill get my coat.
