registering an import?
I know that you need an M.O.T first. Thats fine. But then in order for dvla to register it, you need insurance first? how on what reg? Also is it not just possible to get M.O.T and then go to dvla, pay registration fee and get it registered. Then when you've insured it, then get the road tax etc

You get it insured on chassis number and can drive without plates, registration or tax to and from your MOT/SVA station.
The first tax disc is produced when you register the car with its newly assigned registration number. Once this has happened you can then tell your insurance company of your car's reg.
