Default MY00 STI Type R's getting a stock car these days?

Hi

I started with a MY98 Turbo 2000 which i loved and adored, bought a STI Type UK in late 03 and then foolishly sold it and got an 04 Civic Type R last March to save a bit of money per month.
Now i just miss my old Scooby to much but still waiting to remain fairly sensisble I want to get one of the last STI Type R's.

But as everyone does I want a reliable one.

How would I be best going about doing this?
Is there much chance of me finding one that is mostly standard?

Really not sure where to start, i have seen plenty for sale in the forums but not being that mechanically minded i really wouldnt know what to look out for and I really dont want to get a car and find the engine melting after a few thousand miles because it wasnt chipped or looked after properly from the begining.

Help

Thanks

Matt
