So whats the difference between the UK STI PPP and the UK STI Prodrive???
I´m hoping to buy a UK STI Prodrive, but i´m told it´s not a ppp?
I thought PPP stood for Performance Prodrive Pack?
So whats that all about then??
It still has the front main downpipe cat and produces 320 BHP approx, so i´m told?
I´m prob being thick but and info would be appreciated.

Sti Type UK Prodrive refers to the Prodrive styling on the bugeye STi. PPP is for the performance upgrade. Although you can get a Prodrive Style STi with the PPP. My old one-

The Euro 02 STi came as either, non Prodrive Type UK or Prodrive Style Type UK, the Prodrive designation was purely for the body kit and the silver dials.
The Prodrive Performance Pack is another thing altogether, either of these cars may or may not have had it fitted, it was entirely optional.
So you may well be looking at a Type UK Prodrive Style that has not had PPP fitted.
Signs of PPP would be the exhaust pipe, PPP cars have prodrive around the outside of the tailpipe (non PPP cars had an STi stamp on the backbox tailpipe), sports cat, uprated fuel pump and a blue Prodrive hose under the bonnet.
There should still be a PPP certificate with all the paperwork, if not Subaru UK would be able to confirm the details if you gave them the chassis number.
There are also 2 versions of the PPP for that car, one is a remapped ECU and is very rare, the other is a boost clamp version, both are supposed to produce the same results, but I would imagine the remap to be the better of the two types.

Prodrive Edition STI
Different front bumper without fogs, Big ! rear spoiler, std on 2003 onwards.
Side skirts added, and Indigo dials for the driver !
PPP was an expensive tho' warrantied option at £2000 (?)
Yours may have been re-mapped at much lower cost to produce 320 bhp.... Mines up to 340 now with an exhaust and up-rated fuel pump....
Dunx
P.S. 450 bhp is possible without internal mods, just buy a HUGE turbo and another re-map, LOL
Hope this helps a little !
