castle combe lap times
any scooby drivers any experience of combe ,just curious as to what is considered a good lap time as i was there on monday in my zs 180 ,i was dicing with other cars most of the day but had 2 clear quick laps in the afto ,although both had a missed apex and a missed brakeing point.
Someone told me tiff needell did a 1.15 in a porsche gt3 cup car and a 1.20 in a normal gt3 on a dry track on 5th gear not long ago,is that right?
Anyone any input?

No, he did 1.10 in the Cup Car and 1.15 in a GT3RS.
My times there have got progressively quicker over the years as I have gained more experience and the car has gained more power. Started off with good lap times at 1.24ish and probably now at 1.17 to 1.18 or thereabouts - but I'm sure the car would beat the GT3RS in the right hands

It's running over 500bhp now on race fuel - so it's hardly fair to compare
A UK STI with PPP would be running 1.23 or thereabouts on a good lap.

I managed 1.21 in my RA (330/320), but this took two visits (or about 50 laps) . Dave Costa, one of the instructors, managed 1.19 on his first flyer in my car.
There were R500 Caterhams all over the back of me at times and putting in 1.14s!
Here's Dave a second or two after out-braking an evo, having chastised me for doing the same to an Integra in the session before.
