First decide which model you like the look of... classic, bug eye, blob eye (prolly too expensive) - you can't afford a hawkeye so forget that one. Then you have a big choice in variations... basically get a starting point first in choosing the model.
With your budget a classic may be the best bet as you can pick a higher end, possibly a special, edition. Once you know what you are looking for you will get better advice from owners on what to look out for.

I preffer the classic look to be honest and they are in my price range. Is it the version 6 that was the last classic looking model before the bug eye?
I have been looking at some of these on pistonheads are there any other sites that you would recommend or any dealers ?
A friend of mine had a jap import STI which was stunning. I dont know much about importing or if this would be a route to take ?

a budget of about '7.5k' could you stretch another grand or so this would get you a Blob eye WRX or maybe a Bug eye STI.
If you prefer the classic then that sort of money would get you a mint low mileage example.
If it were me i'd buy the latest model of scoob possible.
And i used to own a Classic btw.

Not too keen on the bug eye look, I think Classic is the one i am looking for, just love the way it looks and sounds, as im sure all of them do.
any where you would recommend looking?
From looking at other posts im lead to belive that the 2000 is a group 17 ins ?or does this vary on which spec ?
