Welcome mate. It means it's a UK car i.e not a european import or a jap import. Btw love the vxr's they really do look good on the road.

Good choice mate, try and get the PPP as this improves performance across the rev range and will give you a noticeable difference over the VXR (takes you through the magic 300bhp!). Why are you getting rid of the VXR, just time for a change or something else?

JDM - Japanese Domestic Market, i.e. a car built for the Japanses market, usually higher spec'd than the UK cars.

BTW I have a JDM sti.

Well its a great choice you've made, must have made a big impession to change so soon.
I think they are amazing cars, I still can't get over how usable they are day to day and yet have blistering performance on all road conditions. You're going to have a lot of fun

Welcome mate, i bought a WRX in 2002, had it for 3 years, always wanting more power etc, wanted to get a STi, but thought to myself gropw up and get a more grown up type of car so i got a 350Z, still miss the subaru soooo much so now i'm picking up a Spec C tommorow as i want the best of the bunch(apparantly).

My point is, owning a Scooby is murder as you constantly want a better model, power etc, but it is addictive and you will love it and most ppl are friendly to you when you ask questions.

Also does not help when they change the model every couple of years.lol

Hello mate,
Just out of interest what is the performance of the VXR like compaired to the STI?
I very very very very nearly bought a VXR BUT didnt ever drive one - just interested like. Got a standard 2005 STI and love it.

OH and its a EU main dealer import - and it does have the Type UK badge, its an identical car in every respect dont be put off.

Always wondered what the VXR is like in the wet and if it torque steers as badly as Clarkson says?

I like the VXR, very nearly bought the SRi 200PS instead of the Scoob

torque steer aint a problem in the dry in the vxr in the wet its a bit twichy but so was my bmw 330 i want an sti so i can get the power down better plus its got more tuning options over 300bhp seems better in a 4wd sti than a front wheel drive vxr
