I'm also trying to decide what wheels to go for. Many people think that gold are tacky, although I'm not bothered either way. The girlfriend reckons only muppets drive round in cars with gold wheels, so I guess they will have to be silver or anthracite. In your case with a silver car, I would avoid gold - my cars a DBM MY00.

At the moment I'm thinking about either Prodrive PD7s in anthracite, see

There are a lot of wheels around that look the part but are week as sh**.
In 1994 I used to own a ASTRA 16 V which I fitted with TSW stealths,at the time they looked the biz,but when it came to tyre replacement both front rims had flat spots, the tyres had been correctly inflated, driving over typical British roads.Since then my brother has had the same trouble with TSW wheels fitted to his old calibra turbo.
Im not dissing TSW wheels, just talking from personal experience.
Whatever wheels you choose, i would go for a motorsport wheel from a leading manufacturer, something that can withstand the odd pothole.
Ive fitted compomotive MO17s and have not had any probs.Compomotive also do an 18" six spoke version which looks the part,it can be seen on the ROADRUNNER ad in most car mags. The only thing that put me off the 18s was the cost of tyre replacements.
